Short story way short... how can I make it so my movement sensitivity is 2.5 but my normal aiming sensitivity is 1.25 (it's set to 1.25 right now, Mouseware 9.75 at maximum w/ no accel). Basically, I want the movement speed of 2.5 with the precision of 1.25. I've done it before through a bug in mouseware, but that doesn't work anymore :(

Are you running Windows XP?

Try adding this to the commandline: -noforcemparms -nomouseaccel

2k. That just turns off mouse accel, I actually *want* a form of mouseaccel. Setting it up in mouseware does nothing, even after rebooting.

You want mouse accel? Weird, most people I know keep it off (myself included). Well, you could setup a bind to press when your mouse1 is pressed (much like a doublebind). As soon as you press mouse1, it'll up or lower your sensitivity and fire at the same time. Question is, would it be seen from VAC or HLGuard as a hack? That part I dunno.

If you really want that feature, find that specific version of mouseware and install it.

Interesting bind idea. Might use it if I must. You're not understanding the question ;) It's like 2.5 sensitivity but the precision of 1.25. So I guess you could call it acceleration. It's random, I can sometimes create it myself by opening IE and connecting at the same time.

I still don't get what you're saying. It should be just as precise with high sensitivity, just easier to move it a longer distance.

What do you mean by movement sensitivity and what do you mean by aiming sensitivity?

Ok, think of it like this. If say, someone is behind me, I can do a quick 180 as if I had my sensitivity set to 2.5. But I also have the slowness/precision of 1.25 sensitivity. It's very odd. The side buttons do not work when this happens, my theory is that the IE window in the back is in focus or something... and 2.5 sensitivity isn't as precise for me since you have to move the mouse less for a larger movement which means less accuracy.

Figured it out, nm. I made the yaw and pitch .033 and -.033 for practically the same effect.
