The two choices:

  1. Panasonic Dect 6.0 Dark Grey Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TG6433M)

  1. Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 3 Handset System (KX-TG9333T)

I believe the first is a newer model. Any thoughts? Any better handset Ideas? Thanks a bunch guys.

Thanks for the tip. It seems that there just is no good cordless phone out there. I haven't seen a market where all products seem to suck like this - complaints for every phone model are significant, and across the board. That's why I'm hoping that I'm missing something and that someone here knows better.

Yup, and both have wildly fluctuating reviews, with the negative ones pointing out many of the problems I've had with my Uniden, which leads me to believe they are credible. More so than the, "I bought this and therefore it must be good. I love it!" type of responses.

my parents have some 5..9ghz phones at home, no complaints yet, but i cant remember the brand.

but you asked about the same model (from the sound of it) by the same company so....just get whatever fits your needs best. my parents have phones all over the house, for some reason...only about 4 people call the house though, everyone uses a cell phone now. how many handsets do you really need?

anyway, those are 1.9ghz from what amazon says, so you shouldnt get too much interference on them, if any, so thats good

I have house over three floors, Panasonic DECT units on each floor and WiFi (G) in the middle floor with no issues. I've always used Panasonic phones. They have great signal strength, as in I can walk outside the house no problem, and the speaker phone functionality is second to none. All IMHO.

I know it's not either you mentioned, but I just picked up the Verizon DECT handsets and so far I like them.

linky

my review's the long one. Pretty solid phones, look nice and have great battery life.
