Has anyone tried a NV5R3 on a 7900GT yet ?

I looked at the Accelero X1, but doesn't it just recycle hot air ? It doesn't expel hot air like the NV5R3

im going to try my NV5 on it this weekend, but i also have an accelero rdy to go. prolly gonna pop the accelero on anyway cuz in all the reviews it did better than the NV5. i would say just get an accelero x1 and a pci slot blower card like i have and go with it, same thing as a nv5 but the blower card will push more hot air out than any nv silencer 😉
 
Some people in the newegg review say the NV5R3 will work if you cut off some of the plastic. Get the hacksaw out.

The accelero really looks unimpressive to me so I will probably go with the NV5R3.

Yes, they don't fit. One vf700 is ok, but the other get in the way of sli, I would suggest modding a accelero x1 to fit on the second 7900 for sli or get iceberg 5.
