So I've got one of the ASRock Dual939 boards (you know, the PCI-E & AGP w/upgrade to AM2 boards) and an Opty 165 on the way. It will be going in an Antec SuperLanBoy case. I don't need anything exotic, the chip won't be OC'd, just something quiet & pretty (it's for my gf's system). I was thinking this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118118

Are there any clearance/compatibility issues with this board? Just want to make sure before I order. Thanks!

it usually helps to list what HSF you intend to use.

If its a small one, then i highly doubt it. If your goign to pop a tuniq, i think you should google it.

But b4 anyone can answer, can u tell me what HSF you intend to install on it?

silly me.. i thought that link was to the case. :p

That thing would even fit on X-Qpack.

however for that price, i highly recomend you getting this instead. It will perform better then that zalman, and shouldnt have clearance issues.

Here
Three problems:
(1) It is OOS
(2) LGA775 only
(3) No flashy lights :p

It is for my gf and she wants something pretty to show through the window of the case ;)

Thanks for the info guys. I just wanted to make sure the ASRock board didn't have any HSF issues - I've been out of the loop for a while, didn't want to order something and have it not work

ummm

ack~ i thought u had a 4300.

lemme change that around to meet your three requirements.

here

1. this has a nice blue led fan

2. Its a tad bit more expensive but cooling blows away the zalman.

3. what more can i say? its the scythe ninja~!
