Any Communications Graduates out here?

Ok, i figure this was worth asking. If any of you have graduated with a Communications degree (probably because your school--like mine--didn't have business) what have you done with it, or what kind of job are you planning on getting?

I minored in Telecommunications and Film (was going to use it for a double major, but didn't want to have to wait another year.) My major was in history and my masters was in Library Science so naturally I'm working in the Internet Marketing field for an advertising agency. Direct transition right?

I can't speak for other fields, but I know a lot of advertising agencies and PR firms hire communications grads. Some of those folks make phenomenal money. I'm still working my way up the chain.

Edit: Most of the guys around here will swear it's not a real major unless it's some sort of engineering/CS/science degree.

my roommate has a mass communications degree. he is currently a desk jockey(read: male secretary) at a non-profit.

well my roommate wanted journalism. so.... and he did work for a newspaper while in college.

well, i wanted business (and i got into USC, but 100,000 was just too much) so it was off to the F&ckin UC Sysem and their NO BUSINESS Degree :-(

oh well, c'mon, i know some other dudes have to have gotten a job as a COMM Major (By the way, for the record, i have yet to take a class of any significant relevance to any actual real-life job....great education)

my close friend is a communications major she is hoping to get into graduate work in broadcasting or film or journalism

a few of my friends finished up as communications majors. they got jobs as game testers and are now in the process of suing Sony for wrongful termination. projected 250k to each of them. don't know if that has anything to do with their major haha
