any comments on generic ink for the Epson 880?

I see on ebay that generic ink is around $3-5 where as the epson ones are $30. Has anybody used these generic ink on an Epson 880 before? were there any problems? thanks
 
The color inks aren't that bad, although I've heard there are bad ones out there. The black isn't as dark as the Epson inks, and the one I had was noticable. Sort of watercolor paint looking.
 
Well I bought the ones in the red boxes from the swap meet. The black for $3 and the color for $6 and they worked great. The brand is MMC.
