Any comments on EVGA's step up program?

Looking to build a new system with a 6800 gt card but I'm kinda concerned that within 2 months there will be some mid range priced 7xxx card released by Nvidia. I figured the step up program may be a viable option to go with. Or is this like ATI's where it's just like $50 that you get for the card?
 
yep. saved me trying to sell my 6600gt agp for 120ish. i can get 184 towards a new card from evga. then i can either sell my 6800gt pci-e or use it my sons rig.

only minor complaint i have right now is they are OOS on the 7800gtx allocated for the program so i have to wait a bit. which is ok by me as i can see if any other card comes out while i wait. as long as the request is in within the 90 days its valid.
 
so there are no restrictions on cards you can get then? that's cool. i may just get one then. thanks for the info guys.

If you paid retail that is. The TOS says you tell them what you paid, and they review it. You must include an invoice or receipt to get the promotion.
