http://www.myincipio.com/iPad-2-Cas...-Smart-feather-Ultralight-Hard-Shell-Case.asp

I'm leaning on buying this case because I think it's offering the best value compared to the other iPad 2 case packages. It comes with a screen protector which is a big plus for me. I was leaning on buying a SGP screen protector and the Zum SC case, but it's just too expensive. I know I'm going to be getting an iPad 3 next year so I don't want to blow more than what is required to protect this tablet. I haven't found any suitable cases of this kind on eBay or Dealextreme unless someone can point one out to me.

So what do you guys think? Is this a good case? Does it really secure the smart cover when the case is on? I think it's been mentioned that there is no way the smart cover can come off because the case snaps on to the back, which will indeed hold the smart cover in place no matter how hard I swing the iPad with the smart cover. Any comments on that?

I own one in the light grey color to match the Apple smart cover. I enjoy it and feel it does a good job protecting the bag from scratches, while securing the smart cover to the side of the case pretty well. Removing both the smart cover and the Feather is a bit of a feat to perform because it's held on so well. I just have to say that I do not recommend getting a light color, though - attracts too much dirt/marks.

i think its the best case for the ipad 2. its thin and lightweight, so you dont even realize its there. i love that because i dont have to worry about getting the back scratched up. it has cutouts in the right places (volume controls, speaker, camera, 3G antenna). plus, it comes with one glossy and one matte screen protector, plus a cleaning cloth and a screen applier thing. it was $20 for me on amazon many months ago - a steal imo.

incipio now sells another version that has cutouts on the side so if you like the smart covers that apple sells, it will fit perfectly. i personally didnt want the smart cover because i dont want to keep opening and closing it - i just wanted to immediately use it. i felt like it would have been too much of a hassle personally. to each his own i say!

edit - oh whoops you were talking about the smart feather all along! my bad!

i actually have the incipio feather for my old iphone 3GS, iphone 4, and now 4S. it literally is the best case ive used. i simply wont go back to anything else for my iphone and ipad 2.

That's good news. I have a gift card with Bestbuy that I would like to use and get that Incipio case. I didn't realize it comes with two screen protectors, but that's good to know! How's the fit though? Does it cover the entire screen?

I do have a positive impression of Incipio and that is because I have a feather for my iPhone 4. It's my only experience and I'm afraid that it may be a fluke.

I'm planning on getting the one in black. It's ashame that Apple is only offering the black smart cover in leather. No problem because I'm just going to buy a knock off from eBay. From the comments that I've read so far, they're quite good and it should match the black smart feather case that I'm going to get.

Can you PM me a link to that?
