Any Combination Gas/Electric Ovens Out There?

It's 4:00 A.M. and I ran out of propane right in the middle of cooking creole chicken stuffed with shrimp and rice. :( Can't go refill the tank yet, because I don't think the people that handle that sort of thing would be on duty at the gas station this early. I'm trying to finish it in the toaster oven, we'll see how that turns out. :(

I went and looked up gas/electric oven combinations, but all I am finding is electric ovens with a gas range, or vice versa. Do they not make one that has both gas and electric options for the oven, where if you run out of propane or if the power goes out, you can switch to the other?

If nothing else, I might purchase a small convection oven after this fiasco. Just to have another option on hand.

That's another problem. There were back-ups, and they seem to have gone walkabout. :(

Another problem is that there are always at least a few days each Winter where it gets so cold that the propane ceases to flow. Guess I will go look up some convection oven reviews on some of the cooking sites.

I don't know if what you want exists. We live where it gets cold, and we have our tank buried below ground. That solves flow problems.

We have a GE convection range. The top is gas and the oven electric.

Sounds like you need a gas company who does a better job of auto delivering.

4am??? WTF???

Im sure you can get one custom made but it will be ungodly expensive.

My wife has been eying a kenmore convection oven with 5 gas burners on top. the only problem is the price tag is $1,600 bucks.

What's wrong with cooking at 4:00 A.M.? :p

As for a convection oven, I mean a counter top one, not one to replace the gas oven/stove.
