Any "city" building sci-fi games?

I remember games like Alien Legacy and to some extent Outpost 2 when I was in HS. There seems to be tons of games for building Roman cities but think I would have more fun settling a colony on a planet and exploring strange lands.

Ah, I remember Outpost 2 mostly fondly. It was a bug ridden mess that never got proper support, but I wish they'd develop a more refined sequel. The game had potential.

There was an Outpost 3: Genesis mod, but I think its been dead for a while now.

Anything from this centuary?

Closest i can think of is imperium galactica II which isnt a city building game although you can treat it a bit like one, and maybe a simcity mod. SC2K came with a tileset that made it look futuristic but really there arent any recent sci fi city building games.... its a niche within a genre that is itsself a niche.

SimCity 2000 had arcologies too, those were genuine Sci-Fi. I wish they had been in SimCity 4.

I think most Sci-Fi society sims end up being 4x's. Some of them have generalized city building too, like MOO-II.
