I recently got a Cisco 1720 router with a T1 card, and an ISDN BRI card... I wish I could afford a T1, but thats not going to happen anytime soon! So, I have found that the 1720 router does support IDSL, according to Cisco's web page, through the ISDN Bri WIC card.. However, I just can't seem to get it to work with my current IDSL service. Does anyone know where I could go to find out for sure whether or not the IDSL supported by the Cisco 1720 router is supported by my ISP?
The easy answer is, ask your ISP! Well, I did that.. and they simply don't know.. The 1720 router is a pretty expensive router, and most people don't use it for IDSL.. since it was given to me for free, I would like to try to get it to work to learn more about Cisco's..
Anyone know of somewhere I could go, or ask, to find out? I'm sure my ISP could give me all the specs I need to know about their equipment, but I assume I can't just email Cisco and ask them.. Any help would be appreciated...
