any chicago beach volleyball players?

i'm up in chicago for labor day and there's this girl i'm supposed to meet up with, i'd love if i could find some rec tournament or open volleyball (A/BB-ish) so i could get her in a bikini.

two things-- is it still summer up there by labor day?
and, i can't find any websites about what's going on in beach volleyball. i know usually it's all happening at north beach, but there's an AVP event going on that weekend-- i'm assuming the volleyball for us mere mortals would be slim during that action.

anybody in the know?
 
If you are in the city you are in luck. In the lake, there is a beach called North Avenue Beach. You can rent the courts..there are dozens of them...if not maybe you can jump into a game thats short.

I play beach volleyball every Saturday with friends at Foster Beach, starts at noon or so. Drop me a line if you'd like to check it out.

A circle of friends I'm vaguely connected to (for some reason I receive emails about this) plays at North Beach on Sundays from 11am to as late as 6pm.

i kno beaches exist on the shores of rivers, lakes, etc.

i always think of REAL beaches on oceans
