Any chess players here?

It's kinda funny-my friends and I started using chess games as study breaks (kinda counter-intuitive, I know, but I guess a shift of focus) during finals week, which was last week. I learned how to play years ago, but didn't really play much until then. Despite being pretty rusty at it, I'm kinda hooked-the age old game has definitely made for some fun times. I actually became so dorky as to buy Chessmaster 9000, haha. But I suck, I can't even beat some of the "kids" in this thing.

Any one else like to play?

I used to play a lot in high school. There were some local tournaments sponsored by US chess federation where I did well enough to win the state 2 minute chess championship in my age bracket, 16 i believe. It was really not my bag at the time, but it's fun. Im up for a game anytime, PM me or AIM me at brian11648.

i was introduced to chess in the 5th grade by my teacher. he was really into it and every year taught his classes how to play. i have a nice little wooden chessboard at home but i have't played in years.

yeah man, i love chess...my dad taught me how to play when i was about 8. I wasnt halff bad either...i won my middle school torneys...1st place twice and 2nd place once. But I havent played in a while...we should play sometime, I'll PM you
