Ive been playing around with splashtop recently, and its actually not terrible, but im guessing it nowhere near the experience on shield. (I know some of it has to do with my terrible router, im still on G)

I would be ecstatic if we were able to somehow get this working on other devices (hoping it will work on something other than tegra 4). If you are using it in a combo with your xbox gamepad, the input isnt a big deal since your still in contact with your receiver.

If not, I hope splashtop comes a little further. Not being able to play fullscreen is a PITA (you need to set it to windowed fullscreen - if the game has it). I tried playing Civ 5, which i was hoping would be awesome since there are already touch controls built in, but it was a pretty bad experience. The best game Ive played on it was borderlands 2, but to eliminate lag, i had it set to 480p - which kinda sucked.

I like the idea of shield, but its just something I have no room for. If I were 14 and a huge PC gamer I might buy it, but I already have a tablet and phone, so I cant justify having something else that is only designed to do one thing.

Anyone have any info on the shield app? Im guessing its probably never gonna happen, but hopefully im wrong. If so, what are some other options? Anyone else have any experience with splashtop/ other apps like it?

Just to show what splashtop is:
