So early this morning my cat went into labor and had 3 kittens around 2 am. At about 8am she had one more. She was still fat for a while and now 9:30pm she had another one.. anyone know if this is common? Last 3 times shes had kittens they were minutes apart..

That does seem bizzare......

I've only been around a few kitten births, but .. they were all minutes apart like you say.

I'd call a vet if you're worried.

I love kittens. :)

But sadly enough, it's not great. There are too many already. There are not enough homes for them all.

Not even funny rescued my cat from snowbank, frozen stiff. Temp. was 25 degrees below what it should have been. Cost me a small fortune but worth it, he is great.

Not too unusual. Delayed labor. If they get stuck for more than a day she's toast. That happened alot on the farm. they have to be born in the same day.

It's an animal. Leave it alone. Geez, cats have been squirting out kittens for a long time. I think they know more about how to do it than you do.

You know how many animals die out in the wild giving birth?

You know that that's the natural order of things? You also know there is an overpopulation of cats?

Not that I'm advocating killing them, just pointing out reality.

Your logic is impeccable.

Even though we have the know how to help them, we shouldn't, because it's the natural order of things.

Well then, why not abolish veterinary clinics worldwide I say!
