Any car mechanic/brake experts here?

I saw a thread on another forum, where someone mistakenly filled their brake fluid reservoir with windshield washer concentrate.

Is this bad?

What damage could this do?

Maybe need to completely flush brake system (depending on if the fluid can be siphoned of the top of hte brake fluid), check your seals (washer fluid shouldn't corrode things too much). Other than a big hassle (as long is it is found early), nothing too bad.

How the hell do you get those mixed up 😕

Not sure about the damage though! i'd tell them not to drive untill its fixed

Yup, in all likelihood, going to need to completely flush the brake system...
If caught quickly, though, you can probably disconnect things at the master cylinder and just flush everything above there. Otherwise, it's going to be tough to get it all out.

What he said^
Do not do a typical flush. remove the master and resevoir and clean those out, capping the brake lines to prevent leakage and dirt contamination.
If he did not drive the car, there might be hope that the lines are not contaminated.
Pour some brake fluid in a jar and add some of the same wiper fluid on top. If it stays on top and does not mix, it probably did not get down the lines unless the brakes were used.
