While it may not seem like it, turbocharging your car is the cheapest way to make a Civic go fast. It just takes more upfront cash to do.

If you want to go faster now, turbocharge it for 3.5k and run low boost. Once you start upgrading the other parts to let the engine breathe better, you can slowly turn the boost up farther.

It still won't be blazingly fast with a turbo though, probably on averge it will be almost as fast as a Camaro. Still, it's pretty good considering stock a Civic couldn't beat a Camaro in the 1/4 if the Camaro was racing in reverse.
 
thanks guys.... maybe I shouldn't upgrade at all, since the purpose of this car is just a commuter, i never considered it a "ricer"...
if so I would get an integra or 300sx
