How are rockford fosgate decks and speakers? Just wondering cause the guy at the car audio shop, where I am getting my stereo, said they are one of the best brands... but that it all depends on the person listening to it. Oh and how are their amps? I am getting a 551x amp.
 
Their amps are nice especially the silver colored series. I am not a fan of their speakers or decks. Brands to look into for decks include nakamichi, alpine, clarion, and eclipse.
 
If someone is telling you RF is one of the best brands they must not have had much expreience at all or they are just trying to unload there stock. Listen to some eclipses, alpines, CDT, infinities for that matter...quality in the car audio world comes at a price though. RF stuff is decent for the everyday lsitenener but if you want true quality you gotta look elsewhere...
As for their amps...well...i wouldn't say anything terrible about them. I prefer the likes of Zapco, JL, JBL myself. If used to power their speakers they are fine...but once again if you want quality gotta go with qaulity 🙂
 
Rockford makes decent amps... but overpriced. As for their headunits and speakers, there are much better ones out there.

CDT eurosports are nice. For headunits, I'd get a mid-level Eclipse, JVC top of the line, or Alpine mid level. They are all good units, each with their advantages/disadvantages and cost around $250-$300.
 
I've had a buddy blow out 3 of their power series amps from overheating... and he's only running 2 10"s off of it... i think its like their 600w model... decks-wise, I'd say eclipse or alpine... I love the interface of every alpine i've bought, but for some reason I always seem to break the face so the lcd's dont light... go figure... needless to say, I'd still reccommend Alpine, cuz I probably abuse my deck more than most people...
 
I ended up getting the rockford deck cause I liked it... and I got mbquart speakers and the rockford 551x and a kicker S8L7. It is pretty loud so far...
