this is for cantonese people... how do you say "sing yee" in english?

for those who might not know what sing yee is here is a chinese sentence

gnaw ho yao "sing yee" tong ney gong dui mm gee

i speak cantonese but your "spelling" is horrid. i can only read out the last part of your sentence as "you don't even know I'm talking with you"

No, he's trying to translate it, like bella to beautiful or something like that. Some expressions only exist in their language though.

haha now you mention it, that would work too

that is the problem with "spelling out" cantonese. spelling out mandarin would be easier.

If you can post the actual chinese characters I can translate it, but that... no can do.

Trying to sound them out is just such a pain in the ass

well it can translate into "motivation", "integrity" or something like that.

the sentence goes like

i am apologizing to you with my full intention...?

straight translate: I, with full intention, am saying sorry to you

yeah mandarin has pin yin.. cantonese doesnt... and "i something something say sorry to you is right" but the sing yee part is the part where NO one knows..

i am chinese (cantonese primiarily) from Hong Kong, and I have absolutely no clue whats his so-called cantonese translations are !

ok i got it. i think "truthfulness" would be the best word for it

or simply "i am really sorry" in english.
