Any Canadians know whether or not NCIX honors pricematching from US websites?

It would be great if they did. Then I could pricematch from newegg.com 😀

If they don't, does anyone recommend an alternate course of action? It would be great if I could find a store in BC since that's where I live...

So those two store will pricematch with newegg.com?

No idea on NCIX though, huh?

I'm only asking about NCIX as my first choice because of their reputation so I figured they'd be the safest choice to buy hardware from.

NCIX will only pricematch against other Canadian stores, in Canadian prices.

Of course, they can deny a pricematch as well. But from my experience, they will tend to accept them.

Oh, sorry. Misread. I thought you were looking to price match against other Canadian stores with NCIX. Oops!

NCIX does have a US ordering site. They may price match Newegg, but I wouldn't count on it.

Mmm... I just checked atic.ca and they have very competetive prices compared to newegg.ca on the current conversion scale.

Except I wanted to look into getting a Chaintech VNF3-250, but neither anitec.ca nor atic.ca have it 🙁

Only NCIX.com does, and it's $18 over the current conversion scale 🙁

Does NCIX.com match competitors? pricing?

...

Prices submitted for Price Match must be from a Canadian retailer and must be in Canadian funds. No foreign retailer Price Match requests or currency conversion equivalents will be accepted. Price Match requests will be rejected for any competitor?s prices that appear to be a misprint, typographic error, fraudulent price or misrepresentation of a product.

...

As NCIX staff have explained several times, it's not as simple as converting the currency, Canadian importers pay additional taxes and fees which tend to make computer components more expensive in Canada in general.

That said NCIX is among the best for customer service in Canada, the $18 difference may be well worth it in terms of the treatment you get.

I bought most of my system from Atic. Was 10% cheaper than ncix and luckily it all worked. Many people told me after that I was lucky, as Atic can be quite poor on the returns. I have bought tons of stuff at ncix and they do have good support.
