I myself have not really watched the vampire slayer TV series, but my girlfriend does. She was wondering when the next season starts. But I thought I remembered reading on Yahoo News that they were not going to have another season. I am going crazy or am i right? if I am wrong when does the new season start so i can tell her. thanks

Well she watched every episode, unless maybe she missed the last one. But last night we were talking and shes like "you never told me it was over". I was about 90% sure I had read that and told her about it, but your right. I think she should have known that. I mean did it end in a way that she would know for sure it was over?

Yes, it did. *spoiler*

They sorta destroyed the entire town and killed the source of all evil in Sunnydale. If that's not a "it's over" message, I don't know what is.

And they didn't KILL the First, they just put it back in its place. Can't kill all evil, after all. Would destroy the universe.

Ah...but they closed the hell mouth, which, technically, was the source of all evil. So there!

There's another hellmouth in Cleveland. GO CLEVELAND, WOOOO!!!!! Anyway, yes the show is unfortunately over. However there will be some crossovers to Angel.

James Marsters/Spike is making the move to Angel as a full-time cast member and Sarah Michelle Geller is also in talks to appear in a few episodes during sweeps. If her movie career flops like it almost assuredly will, who knows, they might get her to join permanently. Unlikely to see Giles or Xander turn up in LA, but I'm betting Willow will turn up from time to time when they need a witch and if Eliza Dushku's new series tanks Faith is a natural given her connection to Angel. They wrote Cordelia and Angel's son Connor out of the show entirely. Good thing, that was a whole "jump the shark" story arc, the show should be better without them. Glad to see Spike make the crossover there, the last 2 season of Buffy he and Anya carried the show. Hopefully he'll provide the same comic relief on Angel.

As long as Willow comes back from time to time, everything is A-OK. ;)
