Where the heck it is. I have 2 confirmation back in July from rebates.com.

Borrowed from Zenman

"***SUGGESTED COURSE OF ACTION FOR PURCHASERS WHO WERE DENIED THE REBATE***

File a complaint with the FTC:

Here is the FTC Consumer Alert regarding mail-in rebates: Link

Once you read the alert, go to the FTC site and file a complaint: :Linkfied

As a result of FTC actions, the following companies faced sanctions and fines

Umax and Memorex Get in Trouble Just for Sending Rebates Late Linkified

Iomega Has to Pay $900,000 for Messing with Rebates Linkified

Office Depot and Buy.com Get Into Trouble Over Misleading Rebates Linkfied

Based upon this info, I suggest we all file a complaint with the FTC. "

There was already a discussions about this. It was suggested that you should call them to check on your rebates. I did and they sent mine within two weeks. You should be able to find a number to call if you browse around on the website. If I remember correctly, I had to bounce around with the automated phone system for a couple of minutes before I actually made it to the queue for a live rep.
D.

PS. Those links you posted are all messed up.

I called last week and they said the check had been mailed out. However, I am still waiting for the checks.

Yeah, someone posted a message on here with the exact numbers to press to get to a human representative (since the numbers weren't in the menu when I called). It's a locked thread, but you might be able to find it with a search.

I talked to a lady, and using a very calm and nice voice, asked what was going on. She apologized and said they'd be mailed out stat, and I got them within 5 business days later. I think they're hoping everyone forgets about them and then they won't get in trouble. :p

i called up a few weeks ago, yet no checks...and oddly, two rebates were processed and categorized as "invalid" for reasons such as purchasing it at the wrong purchase date or one per household (when it was purchased during the right time frame, and i did only purchase one of that item in that time frame.). Oddly also, I received confirmation for that Dymo Label Manager that the rebate was received. Now...my rebate status for that item completely disappeared from rebateshq.com. I wonder what they're trying to pull...

I had to call, but I got mine back in July. Took longer than they claimed (you'll have it in 10 business days), actually took closer to 20, they made it sound as if it got "lost" in processing, but ...at least they made good.

I called last week and the CSR told me this rebate was on hold but that he would issue me a courtesy check (yeah, right, some courtesy). I told him I had two rebates outstanding so he went to issue the second and told me his system was not responding but he would take care of it. When I checked the online status at rebateshq.com latter that day, one rebate shows as processing and the other is GONE! :disgust: Guess I'll have to call them back next week. Sure glad I saved my email notifications ;)

ot in regard to being a hot topic.. but just an fyi in my experience, i had a overdue rebate. filed both the ftc/bbb complaints online. havent heard a peep from the ftc regarding this (not sure if they just do things quietly or what), not even an automated email telling me that they'll look into it.

the BBB on the other hand, they'll actually followup on the complaint. after filing it with the BBB, got an automated email, a call from the company i was complaining about telling me the rebate was mailed out already (after i filed the complaint, the rebate was mailed out, not sure if my bbb complaint had anything to do with it or just pure luck), a letter from the offending company listing all the information of the rebate status, 1 bbb postcard telling me to to expect to receive the reply card in the mail (supposed to respond back to the bbb whether or not the issue was resolved), and the reply card itself.. i dont know if the bbb just printed out my complaint i wrote to the company or what.. but getting a call from rebate arm of the company, a letter from them, and the bbb followup letters. i dont think you can go wrong with this. i wouldnt use unless as a last resort. the rebate in question was overdue a month, and called on numerous occasions and got the runaround. many others that did the rebate (amazon viking 128mb cf deal in may) didnt receive theirs either.

hope this was any help.. hope you get your rebates firehorse.. :)

I called 2 weeks ago and got them 3 days ago. Remember they look like post cards so check your mail carefully. Also, I think rebateshq.com is updating the look of their website of something because all my rebates have no submission dates.

Think you guys should relax.

The fulfillment on this promotion is being handled by Parago (rebateshq.com), who do Staples. While this one is rather slow, and may require a phone call to push things along, there should be no need to call out the cavalry.

Parago has fulfilled over $1000 in rebates for me over the years, and have been very good to deal with. Even in situations where I have received post cards invalidating my application or asking for additional information, I have been successful in sweet-talking the CSR into approving my submission - IN EVERY CASE.

Yes, rebates can take a LONG time, and require some pestering - but that should be understood before getting involved.
