Both are the current gen panels.
6UY is their industrial model. No digital input, but there's a slot for it (and a cheap $145 DVI w/HDCP card). Warranty is handled through Panasonic service centers. Able to take 720p input through any high def input. No speakers, no built in tuner.
PX20U/P is their consumer line. Comes with speakers, built in tuner. HDMI comes built in, which is nice. No 720p input except for on their PC input. Inhouse warranty (technician comes to your place).
For the $300 difference, go with the PX20U/P.
Any more questions on specifics, feel free to ask.

If we didn't have crappy analog cable, I would buy this Panasonic 47" HDTV for $999 in a heart beat.

It needs to be hung on a wall, or real thin (less than 10") So were kinda stuck with plasma.

Any TV that lasts will beat the fine pitch of a Sony. My 36" Sony HDTV Wega lasted only 2 years before it conked out. Sonys are overpriced garbage.
