I checked my 8rda+ and it had the "...A3" type written on the chipset, anyone with the coveted A1 chip that can do 400mhz (200x2)?

Most if not all nForce2 chips can do 200Mhz. The new chip has been certified to do 200Mhz.

The Abit NF7-S 2.0 has the newwer chip.

Soltek SL-75FRN2-L/RL has it, Can't get it stable though at 200. May be my ram though. gonna pick up some Samsung this weekend and try that.

Don't get the PC3200 by Samsung. If you're planning on running it at spec. then it will do. But it won't overclock much and forget any tight timings. My PC2700 original Samsung does better than PC3200 (also original) when it comes to overclocking.

Did you try increasing the vdd? I've seen peeps take this board the full 250mhz with asynch for testing purposes and even my old A2 FRN will do the max 211 it allows in the bios silky smooth with 1.8vdd.
