I'm 27 yrs old and still have a lot to learn from life, and i think it'd be great if people that are older and wiser than I post some words of wisdom that may benefit me. I recently took an offer of a "new job" and greatly regret that i've left my old workplace...it would have changed my life forever if i stayed there...but oh well....fell free to share your experiences, secret to happiness, and etc.

Not really.

I just wish I could go back to high school with what I know now...I'd get SO much more action!

I wish I hadn't had quite such an easy time in gradeschool-first couple years of college. I managed to get excellent grades (and start college at 12) without studying. It all caught up to me in my second year of an engineering transfer, & I ended up dropping/failing a bunch of classes.

If I'd learned how to study early on I'd be much further in life, I could have had a four year engineering degree by now (19).

No regrets. I'm a product of my decissions and I like who I am. You can't change the past so I see no reason to dwell on it. Learn from your decissions/mistakes and apply that knowledge to present, and future, situations so you don't make the same mistake twice.

I regret dumping the girl I dated for a while just out of H.S. because I couldn't "get anywhere" with her.............she's now President of a pretty major bank here in the Midwest...........:( ToBeme = Dumbass in that instance.............:( LOL! Other than that.......Nope! I if I could do it all over again I'd do it exactly the same...................except for that one instance..........;)

exactly:)

But if I could change some things I'd change that I'd be a little more streetwise and not as trusting in people when I was younger, but hey I'm nearly 18 now so I've not lived much. But still it would have made a difference. Been a bit more confident when younger would have change many things but hey I'm confident now and a better guy for it.

If it doesn't kill you it makes you better. Thats what I say. A bad thing is good if you learn from it. Can't change the past so I change my future with what I now know, and what I have learnt.

i think right now, i'm really happy with what i've become. i mean my life i'd say really sucked in high school plus i did some stupid things, didnt do everything i wanted and as a kid i didnt get out as much as i should have because my parents were really paranoid. but if i hadnt done all that then i wouldn't be where i am today , and today i am happy.

Maybe you could change the title to "What's a big decision you have made that you would have regretted if you had made a different choice?"

For your question, I regret not participating in any school activites besides class. I was insecure and very shy so I was scared to sign up for anything. I very much wish I had signed up for activities that would have helped me build my social skills early.

For my question, I am so glad I made the decision to stay with and marry the mother of my daughter. Her pregnancy was unexpected and we were not married at the time.

I never regret - even if I make a mistake. I'd rather learn on my mistake, instead of regretting them.

Whats the use of regretting? Whatever happened, happened.

I've had some pretty bad turns in my life, which I could've avoided. But we all learn from our mistakes. Thats how we grow. So, now I'm trying to assume all of my decisions. Its pretty tough though. And its always good to have some good friends nearby when sh*t happens. ;)

And there's always AT to post to. muahahaha...

I regret not pissing more people off. If you cannot laugh then what the hell is the point of even breathing.

Well today I won sterling scholar at my school in the "business and marketing" department, but I really wanted to win the "Computer Technology" department. I was planning on winning it but I also ran for business and marketing as a fallback incase I lost to computer technology. One of my best buddies also ran for computer technology and it turns out he won that one. It's really cool that we both won cause now we're gonna have to go to all the same meetings and crap now instead of all by myself. I was told after I won that I would have won computer technology if I hadn't also gone for business and marketing, but since the rest of the competition was so crappy for it, and my buddy was so close to me on computer technology they felt this was a better choice as a whole for our school.

So I don't regret it but it's nice to know that I really did win it :)

<< I honestly feel that if I could start my whole life over - I would :(. >>

Most people would probably feel the same, so you aren't alone.

Only one and that was not buying a house that I wanted but would have been REALY tight on the piggybank. That house is worth about 250K to 300K right now and I could of had it for 48K. The house we bought six months later for 8K more is only worth 175K. Oh well hindsight is 20/20.

That sounds like my life almost. I started Engineering when I was 16, not 12 that's amazing, and then bombed. I am sitting here now trying to get back into University to take Computer Science and it's such a pain. I have never studied in my life and it's a real bitch trying to learn now. I just want to get it over with now and get on with my life.

If I could change one thing it would be to not let friends drift away from you. Hold on to them so you can have some good reunions and reminisce. Nothing feels better than being surrounded by people you love.

wish I wouldn't have bought a 10K car almost 2 years ago, that i'm stuck with payments on to this date... and now can't find a job

part of me wishes I would have went to a 4year school instead of to Devry for an associates degree

still may, although with close to 30K in debt already, I don't know if thats to likely....

life is full of problems and regrets, and only when you see their true reason is when you appreciate them.
