Just ordered a pair tonight. Any bets as to how far they will go? :) At any rate, here's my new toy:
A7M266-D
GF4 Ti4200 128MB
1024MB PC2700 DDR (2 512MB sticks, unbuffered)
2x AthlonXP 2100+ Tbred Bs
... and
2x Golden Sockets.

I'm banking on at least 2300MHz. Hoping for at least 2400.

Can you imagine what 5GHz would do for DNetc or F@H? :)

Need to set the multipliers by cutting the bridges on the CPU's to 17.

Mine is working fine at 17x 140 = 2380 @ 1.75V

Temp with SK7 and 80mm FANS is CPU1 = 55 and CPU2 = 60.

A friend of mone could get more than 2100Mhz.

What has RAM to do with using 2100? I like to see the temperatures to be lower, but many believe the diode cpu temp of T-bred's B's give the wrong results. Had the same problem with EPOX 8KA3 setup.

I am using a 512MB PC2100 Kingston UNBUFFERED, and 256MB PC2100 MICRON UNBUFFERED without a single problem!!

I'm pretty sure he means you'd notice a bigger speed improvement if you upped
your fsb rather than your multiplier. Or is that the highest that board will go?

Mine will be here tomorrow, I'll be sure to chime in and let everyone know how it goes.

BTW, in my head I've decided to attempt 2400MHz @ 1.85V to start with. :)

Haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but I got a pair of 2100+ AIHUB 0307s today. They both post at 2400MHz (Well, I think it's 2400, might be lower if the BIOS rounds down). Not entirely sure what speed I'm running at, as AMD's remapping is all over the place.

You may have to join the last L5 bridge, for the TBreds to work in dual mode. ;)

Already taken care of. :)

Silicon thermal joint compound into the pits, all L11s closed for 1.85V and the last L5 closed for MP mode.

Putting the beast together as we speak, should have some info for you all in the next hour or so.

Call me stupid and slap me upside the head, but what in the world are Golden Sockets?

It's a socket that sits in your CPU socket. Inside, there are some DIP switches that control the FID pins on the CPU that allow you to override the multiplier with one of your own. They are a bit dated and can't control the 5th FID bit (8x mult needed for >12.5x), but if you buy a CPU like the 2100+ where the 8x is set for you, you are golden as the sockets don't override the 5th bit, they leave it alone.

Cliffs notes: adds multiplier control to boards that don't have it.

Bad news. Somehow, one of my golden sockets was damaged. It appears as though a trace was damaged around one of the dip switches. I'm going to have to repair the trace. On top of that, somehow I screwed up the voltage mod as I was only running at ~1.6v on one of the CPUs and the other was being set by jumpers on the mobo.

Asus, in their infinite wisdom, wired the Vcc jumpers to only control CPU0.

At any rate, at stock speeds I'm hitting just shy of 10000 3dmarks in 3dmark2001SE with a Ti4200 128MB at 295/590.

That just sounded like you're about to launch a space shuttle... :Q
