Any benefit by an overclock in battlefield 2?

I run battlefield 2 16X12 with everything on full at around 40-50 fps pretty constantly. In a room with 64 players, would increasing the cpu clock to 2.6GHZ over 2GHZ yield much of a diffrence, or would the graphics card still be holding me back? Thanks.

I did run it at 2.6GHZ for a while, but the M2N-E board doesn't restart correctly when there's an overclock so that's a trade off. I think it might just be the placebo effect running an overclock in this game. Maybe I'll record some benchmarks when I get the chance.

Wow, big diffrence, about 12 fps. 56fps vs. 68fps. I guess the overclock might be worth it.
