I'm listening to "Whatever and Ever, Amen" after not hearing it for about a year, and it's such a good album.

Like, it's pure genius. Sgt. Pepper good. I love it.

Anyone else enjoy this stuff? It makes me so happy.

i love all the albums. Ben Folds did Rockin the Suburbs on his own (i'm pretty sure) and that's by far my fav. I saw Ben Folds live the other day on comcast, it was great, he really is talented

One of my friends got me into Ben Folds. I like his solo stuff (as opposed to Five) better. The "Rockin' the Suburbs" album is phenomenal. I was also watching the Ben Folds Live DVD and it's just incredible how much stage presence the man has. I really want to go to one of his concerts now.

Yep I like Ben Folds Five, now known as Ben Folds.
I think they played around here last night but I didn't get around to it.

Edit: When I say they I mean he, since he is just Ben Folds now.

He's amazing when he plays the piano....he can jam solo and it's pretty bad @ss.

I mean, the man is a god, but this one album is just gold. The "ba BA ba" part on "Fair" always makes me smile. And "Selfless Cold and Composed" is simply an amazing song.

Ben Folds is probably one of the most talented musicians on the face of the planet today.

First time I saw him was on that Sessions at West 54th on PBS. Was quite impressed and been a fan since.

I haven't listened to his music extensively, but what I have heard, I think is pretty darn good. :)

I prefer Ben Folds Five versus Ben Folds, but thats a personal preference, not knocking his musical ability at all.

BTW: Everyone is aware that "Rockin the Suburbs" was a solo effort, right? As in, he went in and recorded the same track over and over playing a different instrument each time and then mixed them... which I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to make them blend at all...

*edited* because I typed like a drunkard :D

i'm pretty sure that's how most albums are done.... one part at a time

Right. But usually by more than one person. Ben did drums, piano, vocals, bass, guitar, everything.
