like good clubs or bars?

just about open to anything though

not really a bar/clubs person here but I know the Marina district, as well as the SOMA (south of market) district has some good bars and clubs. do some search in citysearch.com and there should be plenty of reviews.

thanx for the reference!

i was also thinking of a tour of the rock, any of you guys been on it?

Columbus and broadway has plent of clubs, bars, and stripper joints pack together in a small area. After you had your fill of alcohol you can cross over into chinatown for cheap late night eats. The best clubs are in the south of market area.

yes been to it. secure tickets online at http://www.blueandgoldfleet.com/ before you go. Summer weekend tickets can be sold out weeks in advance. weekdays would be fine though. make sure you pay two more bucks to get the audio tour. it is really good.

public transport within the city itself is pretty adequate, maybe not as good as new york, but almost minimal to other parts of the bay area. so i wouldn't recommend without a car. there are lots of places around the bay area that can only be explored with a car

By crossing over, I meant you can just walk to the other side of broadway where chinatown begins. Heh, sorry for not making that clear.
