Any ASU alumni or current students want to share what they thought/think of the school?

Hey,

Anyone at ASU and alumni, how do you like it over there? Is there a school you'd recommend over it for construction management or engineering?

How about a school with warm weather, preferably urban and on the big size.

Thanks,
Trav

It's a good engineering school for the cost. Great weather and great "sights"

ASU has a long distinguished tradition of having the most attractive female population in the country.

Isn't college really just a 4 year mating ritual for 95% of the student population?

Google Jocelyn Houston and Oksana Ryazantseva as examples of hard working "7 year plan" distinguished scholars you'll rub shoulders with in a fashion sciences class.

Well I don't know if you are trying to make fun of me or whatever... but this was a serious thread. I would be going there to finish my remaining 2 years. I'm not going there to talk to conservative Barbie women, plenty of those in California, where I'm from.

I didn't go there, but I visited friends who did a while back, and I remember 2 things in particular:

- it was ungodly hot all the time (we were there in may/june)
- the women were really really attractive. not many fatties.

I wouldn't recommend ASU. At best, it's a third tier school with an attractive student body.

While the president is determined to transform it into a "new american university," a majority of the programs are mediocre. Yeah, we got a new biodesign research center but 1/3 of the campus is under construction, parking is atrocious and tuition has gone up ~10% per year for the last couple years.

It should be better in 2009 when most of the construction has abated.

The ASU I'm familiar is in the boonies of the appalachian mountains(the town it's located in is actually called Boone), has horrible horrible horrible weather and is mid sized.

Hahah, playboy tried to come to Rice and only a few girls went to talk to them. We don't really produce playboy girls here. Plenty of hot ones, probably not as many as ASU or other big state schools, but almost none that'd be interested in appearing in playboy.

I am currently in my 4th year at Arizona State. Actually, I am in my management class right now. It is a decent school, and tuition is pretty damn cheap, even for out of staters.

I am in the school of business, which is pretty much the only nationally recognized school at ASU. All of the women are communication or Psychology majors, and those classes are SOOOOOOO easy.

If you are coming in during your 3rd year, it will be hard to find a good core of friends. I joined greek life here and it has made the big campus seem a lot smaller.

If you can afford it, stay at a good college in California.
If you are looking for a school that is fairly priced for what it is, come to ASU.

Any more questions? Feel free to PM me if you want.
