I'm finishing up my M.Arch in December and moving to Chicago in January - Are there any chicago area architects on here that can give me an opinions on what it's like working for the various firms around there? Any to stay far away from? Anyone want to give me a job? ;)

TIA!

Sorry, all of AT is made up of engineer millionaires and IT millionaires.

Architecture is too artsy, as the best building design is a cube with lots of windows.

I was an architect. Have you seen the new addition to the Guggenheim? Yep, I did that. And it didn't take very long either.

I then became a marine biologist. One time I saved a whale by removing a golfball from the blowhole of the mighty beast.

Say, I've got some importing/exporting to do. Do you know anyone? :)

B. Arch / M. Arch here ... have my own firm IN KC .. where you graduating from?

Chicago is great city - very progressive and tons of mid-size firms ... look for one that is doing international projects ... best of luck!
