So, I ordered a 2408WFP after I sold my 2005WFP (I loved that monitor, and couldn't deal with getting a cheaper TN panel, or even a nicer panel without all the goodies like the Dell stand and USB hub). Because I'm obsessive, I was reading every little review and video on it, since that's the closest I could come to playing with it until it gets here. It was all unanimous: this is the best 24" monitor you can get short of an NEC or Apple Cinema that cost twice as much.
Then I read the reviews on Mac usage. Ugh. People said it's hard to calibrate, the Reds are oversaturated, blah blah blah. Granted, these are people who are a). in professional (or at least they want to pretend they're professional) print capacities and b). they're hoping it's an Apple Cinema replacement (you get what you pay for; it's a nice monitor, but it's not an ACD). So maybe it's all overblown, but I'd hate to think that after buying specific parts to build a hack, and all this trouble, I'd have to go back to window because it doesn't agree with my LCD (or, sell the LCD and buy something else/worse).
Anyone have any experience?
