My work is a black hole for LTE, but 4G works great... any way of flipping LTE off based on location? I am here for 7-8 hours, so if I can have LTE off for when I am here so it's not searching I can save a bit of battery.

Not that I'm aware of. Kinda sorta niche app idea you have there ;o)

But really, how hard is it to flip the LTE switch to Off under Settings | General | Cellular when you roll up to work?

If you had a phone with NFC I'm sure you could program a tag to do that. Not that this helps...but it's something to consider for a future phone.

iBeacons with BT LE might be able to accomplish the same thing.

I agree with OP, but I don't think any app has access to this without jailbreaking.

What is so hard about implementing switches triggered by geofences or at the very least by a schedule? I need my phone to automatically enable/disable features and radios based on where I am, or even based on the time of day.

The battery savings would be HUGE.
