Well, amazon killed my prime membership by charging tax for CA. Great, so I'll ship to my mom's in Vegas. Now they're also charging tax in Vegas as well.

Any alternative websites for purchasing pc parts?

What? How dare Amazon charge you tax you are legally required to pay! The nerve! They don't trust you to file the back taxes on your yearly tax return? You must be in the minority that doesn't follow the appropriate laws!

When turbotax asks you if you made any out of state taxable purchases you're supposed to click "yes"

So no, I do not know of anywhere else that will help you commit tax fraud

ive never purchased pc parts from amazon, it seems terribly unfitted to clean organization of parts/models/etc.

That's why you use Newegg's search to find the components you want and then order from Amazon if they're cheaper there.

I'm sure that everyone here claims their online purchases.

Can't wait for companies to just start collecting for every state so I don't have to hear about this crap anymore.

I like Anchorage- have thought about moving up there. But yeah, not sure about the others

I'd move back to the Hanover, NH area in a minute.

No sales tax nor income tax. It all comes out of fees, which are high, but overall the tax burden is among the lowest, and it's beautiful. Cold in winter but that doesn't bother me and the changes of season is incredible.

NH natives have a nice bumper sticker "Welcome to New Hampshire, now go home" :D

Newegg works great for me as they don't charge tax here and it looks only in cali they do that... and in that case it sucks to be you. :p

Depends...Tigerdirect and B&H Photo can be good for tech stuff. Kinda depends on what you are looking for. No place has the selection or stock of Newegg and Amazon, but those are the last two places I look when buying tech stuff because of tax.

Tigerdirect has the worst support ever and even worse if you try using one of their rebates. :(
