i gave up after watching it sit there for +5 hours. This program always hangs about half way through. What else is dummy proof that i can rip 3 CDs into mp3s?

i picked up "Easy CD Ripper" off of tucows. Great program, uses Lame.

The disc you're ripping is generating errors.

I've had EAC outright crash (well, as far as I could tell) on badly scratched discs. I suppose if you let it sit long enough it would eventually get what it deemed a good rip, but I've never had the patience to wait more than an hour for a disc.

Turn down EAC's error correction (or disable it entirely for that disc) & it will work fine.

Does it do this every time you try to rip any CD? If so, one of the settings for your drive is probably incorrect.
