Any advice on where to get drivers for a radeon 4850?

Apparently nowadays these damn things are available everywhere and everyone has custom versions. What should I get and from where? If it makes a diff for drivers, I'll not use this card for games, only applications.

uhh AMD.com?

Drivers are universal regardless of what secondary gpu manufactorer is.
If its an ATI, it will take ATI drivers.

Unless u have some really super special card which has its own bios.

Naw, just regular. I see all these "tweaked" drivers though. Guess I'll just go amd. Do I have to install the software suite or whatever?

On the top right hand corner, click "Find a Driver" and select the appropriate options.
