In 2 weeks in flying out to Redmond to interview with Microsoft, I was wondering if anyone here has interviewed or better yet was an interviewer and has any personal experience/advice on what to do/know.

This is for a SDE position...

Thanks in advance..

you are gonna get interviewed with abut 4-5 different ppl. One will ask you like stupid trick questions. Just try the best you can there. ANother will be an informal conversation over lunch. One will ask about technical questions...should be normal algorithmic questions. Brush up some from your Algorithms class if you can... like problesm relating to trees, etc. one will talk to u in general, and ur background, etc.

usually a loongg day, but if ur a CS major and doing good in it, B+ or A-....shouldnt be too bad, overall.

i would read up on a bunch of those brain teasers....and brush up on C/C++. I made the mistake of telling them that my favorite language was Java....it went downhill from there 😛

What is your background, schooling and job wise? Just curious, b/c I'm in Grad school for Comp. Sci and really want to work for Microsoft.
