Any advice on getting tix for a Boston Red Sox game?

So I'm gonna be in Boston next week and was hoping to get tickets to a game on either Aug. 13 or 14th. They're playing the White Sox, but heck, I really just wanted to sit in Fenway. Anyways, it seems that any tickets to Fenway are ridiculously priced now, with a pair of tix commanding close to $100 for the cheap seats on Ebay.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I could try and get tix for a decent price? My friend suggested that scalpers outside Fenway might be my best bet, once the game's started and they're trying to unload tix.

Your friend is correct, try to wait out the scalpers. The way my boys are playing right now, ticket prices should be better by the 14th. 🙁

good luck, even when they do poorly tickets are a fortune...one of the most common complaints around here is you have to mortgage your house to take your family to a game.

If you're alone they sell single tickets the morning of the game and usually have some, other than that ebay or something is probably your best bet.

yep, bottom of the 1st, start of the 2nd is when they let em go for face value or less

Any idea how often they have leftover seats? I don't follow the AL, so I don't know how popular Boston vs. White Sox tix would be.

Maybe I can leave my girlfriend in the hotel and buy a single ticket...

LOL, my friend was also saying that maybe tix would be easier to get now since they traded Nomar away...

i went to the box office the day before the game (maybe the day of?) and bought 2. very ez. this was last yr against the blue jays.

it all depends. best bet to have open seats are weekday day games. if its a weekend game there a chance but not likely. also depends if they are in the race or not, which looks like they aren't going to be
