Any advice on Game Controlers?

Ive finaly decided to break down and buy one of those console style game controlers. Ive seen some for as little as $10. Is there any major diference in quality of the different brands? If so what are some premium brand names. Basicaly what should I be looking for here? ANY advice is much appreciated.

It all depends on how many buttons you want. I bought one of those $10 ones that had 8 buttons, but the top button where the same as the button 5 and 6. Once you get into the ones with about as many as a PSX controller, they start going way up in price!

If you can, try to go out to a store where they have these controllers out for
display and test them out. Good brands are Logitech, Gravis, and Microsoft.
