Any Advice For A First Time Zone Alarm User?

I am going to install this, but have no idea how to go about setting it up. Any general advice I should follow?

Personally, I find it quite self explanatory. It is not hard at all to get it up and running at all.

Are you also running a virus scanner, and is the OS Win2K? If so, try disabling the web filter and/or web security feature of the AVS.

That's odd. You sure it's ZoneAlarm doing it? I haven't ever noticed a slow down with any of their versions.

I am running Norton AntiVirus at the same time. I set Internet Security to Medium on ZA and now it runs at normal speed. If I set it back to High it slows down to a crawl again.

I prefer using NIS as it has ad blocking also. So I just use NAV 2k2 along with NIS, and AnalogX POW! for the popups.

I have used ZA before though and I never had any problems, although it was kind of annoying IMO.

Sorry, forgot to mention, using WinXP Pro.

Only problem I have is that I have to reboot under XP if switching users. Otherwise it hangs and have to reboot anyway. Kind of trivial, but annoying.
