Any advantages of E6400 vs. E4300 when OC'ed?

Hi,

previous to the E4300 release i wanted to build a system based on

- Asus P5B Deluxe
- C2D E6400
- Corsair XMS2 800 2GB CL4
- Scythe Ninja Plus

Now that the E4300 has arrived, i am also evaluating the following combo

- Asus P5B Deluxe
- C2D E4300
- Corsair XMS2 667 2GB CL4
- Scythe Ninja Plus

My question is:

Do you think i will get any more performance from the E6400 combo when overclocking to maximum stable speeds (3.x GHz)?

I know some performance comes from the higher FSB in the E6400 combo, but the E4300 cpu and memory combo would be around 80 Euro cheaper which could be invested in a 8800 GTS instead of the planned 1950 XT.

Thanks for your help!

Is Gaming the main activity of the rig?
For Video editing/Power User go for nicer CPU/MEM

But for 3D and Picture Quality and dx10 that 8800 would be great!

AT benchmark of e4300 shows there's a some difference of performance when e4300 and e6300 are running at same speeds(ie stock speed)...So i guess, this similar difference would be there w/ 6400 also....when 4300 and 6400 are OCed to same speed...

But i think buying a better gfx card would easily take care of it and rather should provide more healthy boost, as difference is not very large...So i think you should go ahead with e4300..

The main purpose are games and general things like browsing or PS CS2.

I know the 6300 has some advantages over the 4300 at the same speeds, but 25% more cash for 5% more speed?!?

I am mostly concerned over different maximum overclocks with both systems, but there maybe nobody can help me right now with so few 4300 reviews around...
