I was reading through some forums where a tech support guy recommended running a game at the desktop resolution (on a CRT) to try and help remove artifacts. I thought that the only time this was a concern is when you have a LCD because of the native resolution.
Is there any advantage to running games at the desktop resolution on a CRT?
I usually just take my resolution in games as high as I can on my CRT while keeping close to 60 fps. I don't really pay attention to my desktop resolution (which is usually only set at 1024x768).
