Any advantage in buying all the parts from the same place?

Well, is there an advantage in buying all my parts from, say, newegg? Will they give you a price break for buying all your parts there?

Otherwise, is it best to just order all the parts from where you can get them for the cheapest price?

you tend to save on shipping cost and newegg is a trustworthy dealer. plus you get everything at the same time. Well most of the the time.

Shipping and arrival times, agreed.... also if you have warranty returns, its easier if everything came from one place.... especially if one component caused the death of another or something like that. Plus the prices at places like newegg and googlegear are generally some of the lowest, epsecially for a lot of retail boxed stuff, so not only do you get their warranty, but the manufacturer warranty too.

Ive done a lot of system building, and used to the prices were so spread between places.... one place would always have the best CPU price, and one place would always have the best Mobo price... and you tried to find compromises to save on shipping... with places like newegg, now its not that hard... You might still consider getting OEM cpus from somewhere else, maybe specialty supplies (cooling, certain cases) because there ARE still good deals to be found....
