Any 9700 pro owners playing Madden 2k3?

If I set it to 1280x1024x32 and set all D3D sliders to the max (leave FSAA at 4x), I get a stuttering in the game (not in menus)

If I drop the anistropy from 16 to 8, and the mip and texture settings to 2/4 (performance), the stuttering goes away.

Could this just be too taxing on my system (p4 2.35 GHz, 512 DDR)? It doesn't look like slower framerates at all... Maybe I'll find a FPS util and run it.

Any tips appreciated.
