I've read about the (soon-)to-be-released VIA KT333a chipset, that is supposed to include support for AGP 8x. They're expected to be out before the end of Q2.

Do you know of any 8x AGP video cards out now? The GF4 was supposed to be 8x AGP on their Ti4600, but they decided against it and went with the 4x AGP. I've heard that it's a negligible difference between 4x and 8x.

8x AGP is useless. Nothing supports it (yet) and it isn't going to offer any significant performance advantage, much like the 2X/4X debates we still have today :D

<< I thought there wasnt going to be a KT333a chipset. >>

Yep, it's just going to be a few months after the KT333 is in full swing. I'm surprised they're even going to make a KT333 cause there will be no advantage over the KT266a.

<< I have seen the gf4 ti 4600 advertized as 8x AGP lol. >>

Yep, you would have seen the GF4 speculations before it came out to have AGP 8x, but I doubt you will see anything new that supports these specs. All the cards that I've seen so far lately have just had the 4x AGP and a note from Nvidia saying that they are not going to include it now.
