Any 845G boards stable with 2 DDR sticks while OC'ed?

I'm using the following, very stable:
-p4 1.8A @ 2.4Ghz
-1 stick 256MB PNY (Samsung chips) DDR266 running at DDR333
-Gigabyte 8igx
-Vcore 1.65

However, when I tried adding another stick of PNY 256MB, and even set the memory clock at 1:1, the system would hang on 3dMark2001. I even tried increasing Vmem to 2.7, and it would get a little further during the test but it would still hang.

I got a pretty good deal on the sticks ($29 each) so I would rather not change them. So, is there an 845G mobo out there that can deal with 2 sticks of DDR while overclocking? Thanks in advance.

I'm using the following, very stable:
-p4 1.6A @ 2.66Ghz
-2 sticks of 256MB PNY (Samsung chips) DDR266 running at DDR333 for a total of 512MB
-Abit-BG7
-Vcore 1.61, DDR V is at 2.6V
-FSB 166 1:1 multiplier

DubSlick, I've had the 8igx, bg7, and am finally on the 4g4a. Haven't tried 2 dimms on the 4g4a but i've heard of problems.

For the bg7 and 8igx, when using 2 dimms, I could not get the system to run stable if the fsb for the dimms was anything out of an "expected" value... e.g. 166 fsb on the ram. I am not sure about 133 or whatever.. but are you using 133 3:4 or 133 4:5? Might want to try to get the ram to be at 166 even if it can run higher. Had the same problem on my BG7 - lizardman prob doesn't have a problem because he's running the ram at 166 :).

I dunno for sure, but that was my problem, anyway.

I tried setting my FSB to 133 and memory at 1:1, and it would still hang during 3dMark2001. Again, stable with 1 DIMM at 133, even 3:4 ratio, but not 2.

So, due to the lack of a 4:5 ratio, PCI/AGP lock and this 2 stick instability, I've decided to ditch this board for a BG7. Funny, I started out with a 4g4a+, then 8igx, now bg7.

Hehe. I've had all the same boards as you but am keeping the 4g4a. Actually i still have the BG7, too.

I had my 8igx running with 2 dimms stable but that was only at 166 (actually i could get 167/167 too). But i never really tried any speeds other then that too much. i did use 177/266 tho (1.5x), and that was okay when I had my 2x crucial 2100's as well.

just a note that it works fine for me on a i845D mobo with 2 sticks. I added a second Crucial PC2100 256 MB to my P4B266 and it works great: 1.8A @ 2.25 GHz, RAM at 166MHz DDR (333 MHz). One note is that I have to put them into slots 1 and 3; although 1 and 2 are supposed to work fine when both populated with double-sided (and therefore double banked) memory, it didn't work for me. Perhaps they are mislabeled. Perhaps you should try the same, moving the ram cards to slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 3 and see if that works.
