There seem to be quite a few 2.1 systems offered in the low price range.
Cyber Acoustics for example has a 2.1 for $9.
Anyone have one of these that they actually like?
Well, if you could add a measly 30 bucks to your budget I'd think these would be worth a try. I was reading Maximum PC and they gave it a 9 out of 10, that's pretty high for a high end mag to give a 50 dollar speaker set such a high review. Tho I was using my 30 dollar T-amp with my 1200 dollar ACI sapphires .. go figure! Audio has come a long way in the last 4-5 years.
You may even get it for cheaper if you look around.
Thanks folks! I have a decent system for my HT, but really how good do the speakers need to be to hear a youtube video or the sound of aliens exploding?
Due to the small "subwoofer" in them they tend to bottom out during high bass peaks. It'll be fine for youtube videos but no so much for explosions in movie tracks. Just keep it down and you'll be ok.
