Any 1200p or 1440 monitors at 120hz coming?

With lightboost around ive been very interesting in going that direction. Problem is there are no monitors bigger then 1080 that support it, and I do not like the idea of downgrading to such a low resolution that I was basically using over a decade ago...

Has there been any signs, rumors, or thoughts on when we will get anything (even 1200p) at 120hz that supports lightboost in the near future?

Any speculation when 1440p monitors will come down in price?

I could stomach $399...at $549+++ , I just can't pull the trigger without thinking they will be half that price a year later

For some reason I doubt they will ever come out.

Competitive fps gamers don't care about screen size or resolution (a lot of them will play at 640x480 lol).

Casual fps gamers who want big screen sizes also want great color and contrast which means IPS.

120/144hz comes at a huge price premium but worse a terrible picture quality.

A 120/144 hz 1440p IPS would probably cost $1000-$1500 easy.

I would love to see such a monitor, the current trade off is a painful one. Neitherless I don't know of any higher resolution monitors at 120hz. There is a sticky however that contains a professional class monitor that is 120hz and is also 1920x1200 but I haven't read any reviews on it at all.

From what I've read, the 8ms refresh time and higher input lag of IPS panels kind of ruins the whole point of 120Hz. I'm sure it's still better than 60Hz, but I doubt we'll see the fluidity that 1080P TN panels are capable of on 1440P IPS technology anytime soon. I wish but I'm not getting my hopes up.

They would be nice, I am competitive when playing FPS, but hey I still want 1440p and all the eye candy, plus I can use 1440p for stuff like reading posts etc. I spent £340 on a DGM 1440p monitor 3 months ago so hope I don't see any 144hz 3D 1440p monitors around soon, and if I do I want them to be at least £1000!
