Yea, clean up your kitchen. They won't be there if there isn'[t any "food". ;)

terra, terro, something like that. It is a liquid you place along the ant trails. It took 12 hours to get rid of them in my apartment!

The liquid bait is definitely the best. There are various brands. A few drops on an ant trail, they take it back to the nest, soon they're gone :)

Try using insect-killer toxic sprays or very strong acidic materials. Even vinegar, if there's nothing better around.
After the ants are KIA, cover the crack they came from with some "liquid" plastic that becomes solid after a few hours. They sell it everywhere, and it's used to repair things.

Track them down to their nest outside spraying their trail all the way. Do that for a few days and the won't come back for awhile.

a good spray to use in the house is something Orange
its like concentrated orange peels in a spray, its like safe / non toxic
the ants die immediately and they hate it.. i use it whenever i see a couple
then i wont see them for months.

THIS is all you'll need. Killing the ants on the spot does nothing for the long term. You have to put this stuff out and let them eat it and take it back to the nest. This will get rid of them for good. It may take a while though. WHen I moved into my apartment we had ants after a couple months. Used terro and after 4 days they were gone and haven't come back in 2 years. It's a little disturbing watching them sit and eat the stuff knowing you can't kill them but it will work.

the powder bait works good as well, you can just shake it along the trails & shove it into the cracks where they hide.

When my parents had ant problems they went to chinatown and picked up ant killer in the form of chalk. Nasty stuff. It said on the box, "will drive ants crazy to death."

I think that terro stuff will work fine though, heard great things from it.

Try that ant bait stuff... The idea here is to supply poisonous food to the ants so they can bring it back to their colony and poison the whole gang.

I put out a few directly into the ant path in my patio and less than a week later the whole colony was wiped out. Not a single ant left.
