ants are pretty durable

there was one i my desk so i set a glass on top of it bottom down. theres a bit of concavity there so the ant wasn't squished. 12 hours later i pick up the desk and see this shriveled little ant there. i figure i'd killed it but to my amazement it started moving and stretching out. was kinda weird. it was back to normal after about 5 minutes.

also cool how they can fall like 1000 times their height and not even notice...

thats what the ant motels are for. its kinda like motel california. but for ants.
 
i think fleas are more durable than ants. Those bastards can be squashed and tossed in the toilet and they proceed to crawl out.
